Meet the Team
Actuary & Financial Adviser
Mark Berry is a Fellow of the Actuaries Institute. Mark started Berry Actuarial Planning in 2002 with the goal of applying actuarial skills to the provision of financial planning advice delivered in a professional transparent manner paid for by the customer to deliver their outcomes, thus enabling those seeking to be engaged with the management of their own financial plans to be empowered to achieve outcomes appropriate to their circumstances as opposed to outcomes that suit an institution.
In this respect, he has contributed to both the financial planning and actuarial professions with his paper titled "An Actuarial Journey into Financial Planning" (Read Here). Mark also appeared in the section Actuary Unearthed, if you want to read more about him.
Mark Berry
Anthony Street
Actuary & Financial Adviser
Anthony is a qualified Actuary with over 30 years of experience across life insurance, superannuation and investment management. In 2011, Anthony joined Berry Actuarial Planning to help individuals plan for and achieve their financial objectives, which Anthony believes can be strongly enhanced through the utilisation of actuarial skills to understand and manage future outcomes.
Anthony previously worked for Macquarie Investment Management, in product and portfolio management roles, Mercer Investment Consulting in London, consulting to a range of UK pension schemes, and Zurich Australia as an Actuary.
Penny Butler
Actuary & Financial Adviser
Penny joined Berry Actuarial Planning in 2017. She enjoys using her skills and knowledge to help customers define and navigate their own financial path.
Penny has over 15 years’ experience in insurance and financial services. Before Berry she was a Director with Deloitte, where she had worked for 13 years in Australia and the UK. There she provided actuarial consulting services and advice to a range of insurers, banks and other financial services companies. She then moved to CommInsure where she led the actuarial pricing and data analytics team for Direct Life insurance products.
Alexander Sterligov
Financial Adviser
Alexander joined Berry Actuarial Planning in 2017, and enjoys working with clients in all capacities, with a particular focus on investments. He has attained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Nicole Raffin
Actuary & Financial Adviser
Nicole is a qualified Actuary and a Fellow of the Tax Institute. She joined Berry Actuarial Planning in 2011 and brings a wealth of experience, providing specialist technical support to our financial planners.
With extensive knowledge and experience spanning financial planning strategy, self managed superannuation and taxation, Nicole ensures our advisers have access to the most comprehensive and informed advice possible.
Prior to joining Berry Actuarial Planning, Nicole spent over a decade in the Finance, Superannuation and Insurance industries within technical management and actuarial roles.
Ly Huynh
Financial Adviser
Ly joined the Berry team in 2019. She is passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals and is devoted to providing the highest quality advice to clients .
She works closely with clients to simplify complex financial needs, turning intricate strategies into clear, practical solutions.
Ly has completed Bachelor of Actuarial Studies, Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, and Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage and is now a fully qualified financial adviser.
Peter Fallows
Actuary & Financial Adviser
Pete is a Fellow of the Actuaries Institute and has completed a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning. With over 30 years of experience in life insurance, superannuation and wealth management.
He joined Berry Actuarial Planning in 2024 to help people navigate their way through the complexities of the financial system.
Prior to joining Berry, Pete has worked for Mercer, Royal SunAlliance, MLC and Zurich Australia, in pricing, product development, data analytics and reinsurance roles.
Enzhou Shi
Provisional Adviser
Enzhou joined Berry Actuarial Planning in 2023. He enjoys working with clients and helping with financial strategy implementation to ensure clients’ financial goals are met. Enzhou focuses on assisting financial planners with advice preparation and investment strategies.
Enzhou completed his Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and Bachelor of Science in 2022 and is currently a Provisional Adviser in his Professional Year.
Operations Manager
Johnjoe joined Berry Actuarial Planning in 2022. He has worked across many parts of the business, and is now the Operations Manager, overseeing and coordinating various functions in the business.

Office Manager
Mary commenced with Berry in 2019 and is an invaluable member of the team.
She enjoys building relationships with our clients and always ensures a high level of customer service is maintained.
She further assists our financial advisers' with implementing their strategies and ensuring their financial security.
Eleanor Zhang
Administrative Support
Eleanor serves as the Administration Support in the office, bringing with her valuable experience from her previous role at ANZ Bank.
During her time there, she gained extensive knowledge in customer service and banking operations. With her professional background, Eleanor is always eager to lend a hand and offer her support wherever needed to ensure the smooth running of office operations.
Her approachable and helpful nature makes her a reliable and integral part of the team.
